Key missions of the position: Streamline and Improve the Supply Chain Efficiency with the support of Implementing Lean Supply Chain Methodology across the organization (Sales & Marketing, Finance, Purchase, Supply Chain, Quality, Projects and Manufacturing).

Responsibilities:

  • You will be directly collaborating with Sales and Marketing, Projects, Engineering, Purchase, Supply Chain, Quality, Warehouse, Logistics, Finance, and Mfg Departments”

  • You will be responsible for Develop and Design Lean Processes, improve efficiencies, reduce cost and delight internal and external customer‘s satisfaction.

  • You will be responsible for Lean Supply Chain Transformation. This will include SIOP review, MPS, Address Capacity related issues, and Eliminate questionable practices, and design robust process to improve the situation, Reduce demand variability, Improve forecast accuracy, Inventory reduction and Supply Chain Efficiency improvement.

  • You will be resposnible for creating a process for improving the Inventory Turns ratio, Prevent Back orders or sustain Zero Back Orders, As-Is Study and Baselining of ABC and XYZ analysis.

  • You will be responsible for streamlining the Order management flow, challenges identification, design and implement solutions, Design safety stock strategy, implementation, and Digitization of Supply Chain activities and Eliminate questionable practices.

  • You are responsbile to develop efficient JIT sytem, Kanban system and 2-bin system which should synchronize with intenral kanban.

  • Drive Lean Projects on Supplier Consolidation, Supplier LT reduction, Supplier to Partner Strategy development, Right First Time (RFT) level improvement, Zero Quality issues from Supplier’s and drive Supply Reliability improvement projects and drive Continuous cost reduction projects with cross functional teams.

  • Drive Lean Projects on Warehouse space reduction, Warehouse efficiency improvement (Picking time reduction, no. of manpower reduction, automation of activities etc),

  • Drive lean projects on Logistics cost reduction,

  • Assure Manufacturing hours are not wasted due to “Waiting for material”

  • Strong and demonstrated Problem Solving skills (Why-Why, Fishbone, 8D)

  • Adhere to process, tools, roles & responsibilities to: 1. Monitor Excess Inventory generation 2. Analyze Root Cause of Excess Inventory 3. Define and deploy structural action plan aiming to sustainably reduce Excess Inventory generation.

Education / Skills :

  • Full Time Engineering Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Electrical/Electronics/Production & Industrial Engineering from reputed Institute

  • MBA in Supply Chain Mgmt from reputed B school

  • Mandatory Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification from reputed international body

  • Optional (added advantage) APICS training or equivalent

  • Strong skills on VSM and A3 Strategic Thinking implementation

  • Demonstrated skills on MPS, MRP, MTS and MTO strategies

  • Hands on experience in ERP & Excel Macro skills

  • Analytic & synthesis skill

  • Communication skills with site multiple departments

  • Problem Solving skills (RCA, 8D, PDCA, …)

  • Organizational & time management skills to maintain on time analyzis and reports.

Professional Experience

12+ years of relevant experience in Lean Supply Chain from Auto or Engineering Industry

  • Supply Chain Transformation expertise with proven track record

  • 3+ years of leadership experience as a direct manager

  • Strong project management skills, including relevant industry-standard certifications

  • Solid experience of working in multi-functional teams and large-scale projects encompassing multiple enterprise applications/systems

  • Strong emotional intelligence and relationship building ability

  • Solid communication, presentation, facilitation, and discussion skills

  • Highly organized and able to remain flexible to the changing business needs

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Highly data-driven and process orientated

  • Professional experience in a comparable position ideally in automotive /Engineering/Electronics/Railway industry

  • Self-motivated/ Go getter/ Self Driven/ Needs minimum supervision

  • Demonstrated commitment for process improvement

  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and educate at all levels of the organization

  • Other Specifications

  • Candidate should have good communication skills along with strong stakeholder management skills - required to align internal and external stakeholders towards common goal. Willingness to solve problems, from process, people, and systems angles, and drive the change

  • Drive regular connects and cadence with Cross functional teams of Sales & Marketing, Finance, Purchase, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management and Manufacturing

  • Rational decision-making, negotiating and influencing skills. An analytical work style.

  • Experience in working with self-directed teams \

  • The ability to work effectively on a team or independently. Accountability, initiative, integrity, and maturity are pre- requisites

  • Ability to deal with huge ambiguous data sets coming out disparate systems and in tools and spreadsheets of several distributed teams

  • Must be innovative, detail-oriented, experienced in highly visible/controversial projects

  • Ability to work like a corporate Entrepreneur with minimum hand holding and defining the correct path for the team members and stakeholders surrounding the business to achieve results.
