Amazon Account Manager, Retail in Seoul, South Korea

Description

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by developing Retail accounts? Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider?

As a Account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving service adoption, usage growth and market penetration in Retail accounts. The ideal candidate will possess both account management and technical background that enables you to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan, acquire and develop new accounts, and consistently deliver on quarterly business goals.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive service usage growth and market share in Retail territory.

• Meet or exceed quarterly business goals.

• Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan.

• Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services.

• Accelerate customer adoption.

• Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption.

• Manage and support customer interactions

• Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

• Ensure customer satisfaction.

About the team

Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seoul, KOR

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle, technology sales or equivalent business development, sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in technology sales selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services

  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software

  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or MIS

  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent
