Location/Division Specific Information

Our dedicated teams combine and deliver centralized support and solutions for the clinical trials, collaborating to improve processes, cycle and flexibility. We partner with our sites, businesses and colleagues around the world to decrease startup timelines and go above and beyond.

Summarized Purpose: Manages staff, including interviewing and selection, job description preparation, professional development, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, employee counseling, and separations. Approves courses of action on salary administration, hiring, corrective action, and terminations. Reviews and approves time records, expense reports, requests for leave, and overtime (if applicable). Provides leadership and guidance to departmental managers and employees.

A day in the Life:

  • Effectively partners with senior management and external departments to support the development of critical business informatics tools to support departmental goals.

  • Manages project escalations; support the assigned staff in identifying the cause of issues and resolve to customers' satisfaction.

  • Oversees staff to ensure that individual project targets are met and services are provided according to the highest quality standards, policies and procedures.

  • Manages communication with internal groups to influence on deliverables that impact the ability to make site payments.

  • Partners with senior/executive management and other departments

  • Participates in bidding and new award management.

  • Is responsible for risk management for the book of business to maintain high customer satisfaction, contain costs and manage timelines.

  • Reviews and approves con mod/CNF generation. Policy & Strategy Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures that may affect sections and subordinate work units.

  • Interacts with clients for general capabilities, bid defense and escalation management.

  • Reviews reports, metrics and trend analysis; oversees implementation of improvement plans.

  • Supports junior managers with project review meeting preparation and attendance.

  • Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

  • Participates and may present at meetings with internal and external representatives. Interaction typically concerns resolution of operational and scheduling issues concerning projects and/or contractual clarifications.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Experience

  • Proven knowledge of Site Payments SOPs & WPDs, processes, and technology. General understanding of business and financial principles related to Site Payments.

  • Solid understanding of the key principles of project management (time, quality, and cost), including solid financial competence

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Knowledge of the key principles of cross functional project management (Time, Quality, Cost)

  • Fundamental financial acumen

  • Displays effective communication skills (listening, oral, written) and can communicate in English language (oral, written)

  • Sound interpersonal skills, is flexible and adapts to changing situations

  • Ability to persuade, convince, and influence or impress others

  • Organized, proficient at multitasking with good attention to detail

  • Ability to delegate, effectively prioritizes own and workload of project team members

  • Ability to effectively use automated systems and computerized applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.

  • Understanding and appreciation of clinical research/development, including medical and therapeutic areas, phases and medical terminology

  • Knowledge/understanding of clinical development guidelines and directives
