Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Release Engineer III for one of our largest retail clients. To be qualified for this role, you must be local to Minneapolis, MN and willing to work onsite in Richfield 1-2x a week. In this role, you will focus on five primary responsibilities: 1. Release management 2. GitHub Actions Configuration 3. Artifact Management 4. Documentation and communication and 5. Troubleshooting and support. This is an extremely hands-on role that will require strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Skills and Requirements

-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

-4 to 7 years of experience in software release engineering.

-Proficiency in configuring and managing GitHub Actions workflows.

-Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools.

-Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).

-Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub).

-Understanding of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

-Collaboration and Communication:

-Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

-Excellent communication skills for documenting processes and interacting with stakeholders. null
