Duties and responsibilities related to the Pastry Sous Chef role * *

  • Work closely with the Pastry Chef to develop and implement menus and recipes,assistingin the creation of new pastry items andregularly reviewing and adapting menu offerings.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pastry kitchen,ensuring efficiency andhigh-qualitystandards

  • Ensure consistency in the production and presentation of all pastry items by conducting regular taste tests and quality checks, while implementing and enforcing hygiene and food safety standards in the pastry kitchen.

  • Manage inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies to ensure adequate stock levels,monitorand control costs to minimize waste andoptimizebudget use.

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in supervising and guidingpastry colleagues, providing training and support as needed, ensuringadherence to recipes,portioncontrols, and presentation specifications.

Previousexperience ina similar role isessential, withthe ability to motivate and inspire a team.You will have excellent knowledge of food trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
