Join the OneDrive-SharePoint (ODSP) team, a vital part of the Office M365 ecosystem, based in Hyderabad. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-billion-dollar organization that handles 200M MAU and exabytes of customer data in the cloud. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will address technically challenging AI problems in a full-stack cloud environment and contribute significantly to the roadmap and vision of both your team and partner teams.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and refining NLP and NLU systems, staying abreast of the latest advancements in large language models.

  • Thinking strategically like a product-oriented data scientist, understanding the broader business context and customer needs.

  • Leading initiatives in deploying ML models/large language models to production, with an emphasis on MLOps/LLMops.

  • Conducting thorough testing and evaluation of model performance to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

  • Overseeing the entire lifecycle of models from creation to deployment, ensuring robustness and scalability.

  • Collaborating closely with product development and engineering teams to ensure high-quality design and architecture.

  • Mentoring and supporting the growth of colleagues in the field of data science, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

  • Actively participating in creating and executing quality plans, test strategies, and processes.

  • Being self-driven, curious, proactive, and result-oriented.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.

  • Over 8+ years of experience in the data science field, proficient in languages such as Python, R, and SQL.

  • Strong experience in agile teams with a customer-focused approach.

  • Excellent communication and cross-group collaboration skills.

  • Experience in Azure or other cloud and distributed systems is highly valued.

  • In-depth knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Understanding (NLU).

  • Up-to-date with the advancements in large language models.

  • Demonstrated ability to think and operate as a product-oriented data scientist.

  • Familiarity with MLOps/LLMops for deploying ML models/large language models to production.

  • Proven ability to test and evaluate model performance.
