About the role

We are delighted to share that we have an excellent opportunity for a Digital Manufacturing Data Co-ordinator to join us within our Shieldhall site.

Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries around the world and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.

As a Digital Manufacturing Data Co-ordinator within our Diageo Manufacturing team, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying, trialling, and rolling out new digital technologies across site.

In today's highly competitive business landscape, digital transformation is no longer a luxury, but a necessity. These technologies are varied across manufacturing functions to improve our run to standard practices, improve productivity and streamline our ways of working.

This role is key to delivering the implementation plan according to gates and milestones. You will work with cross functional teams across the manufacturing site to imbed new technologies and improve ways of working. You will be required to coach, train, and communicate at all levels on site. We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and a strive to win approach to push boundaries and achieve new levels of performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage data governance within digital projects and systems across site. This is to include creating best practice and work instructions for standardisation.

  • Responsible for ongoing use of digital systems, including support with daily issues.

  • Improve how we use existing and new technologies to better utilise and display data.

  • Improve current processes across site via the implementation of digital projects.

  • Design and trial new systems, processes, and applications with the view to streamline tasks and improve ways of working across site.

  • Ensure that any improvements implemented are standardised and sustained within operations teams (sharing best practice).

  • Responsible for collecting and aggregating data for multiple uses across manufacturing.

  • Create reports and dashboards to display data at all levels at site.

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders on various levels to ensure results are met.

  • Work with internal and external partners to understand the systems and create models and data flows that works with our existing ways of working and technologies.

  • Coach and train at all levels to imbed new technologies and systems.

  • Work according to glidepath, identify and communicate any shortfalls in planned roll out.

  • Enthusiastic about new technologies and identify new opportunities. Utilise this passion to be an advocate for change.

  • Contribute to business case for new projects.

To be successful in this role, we’re looking for someone who:

  • Can work well within a team as well as the ability to make effective decisions and thrive in situations where they can solve problems.

  • You’ll be able to push forward your own ideas about improvements to current approaches and appraise new opportunities. 

  • You’ll have the drive and enthusiasm to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills. 

For this role you will ideally have an understanding of manufacturing operations (through formal training or qualified through experience), new technologies and how these relate to a manufacturing setting.

It'd be great if you had a knowledge of Power Platform (inc. PowerBI and PowerApps) however this is not essential.
