Detailed Description

The IT System Administrator is responsible for day-to-day smooth operation of local applications and providing support local and global applications. It is to follow one of several possible service delivery approaches, acknowledge interference with the IT applications’ life cycle and assist with incorporating the adopted approach into best practice. They are responsible for producing and maintaining accurate documentation on compliance with methodologies, IT policies, and IT governance requirements. They interact with and influence IT Business Analysts on the governance of IT platform reliability and resilience. They are working closely with IT Business Analyst, vendors’ engineer, and global IT. This position will provide support in application specification, deployment, and after service activity by applying technical knowledge in interactions with end-users. It is also a requirement for this role to work with teams and departments jointly to fulfill the overall goal of Korea IT team.

The key responsibilities include:

Application Support

  • Conducting day-to-day standard operations and provide technical support of (not limited to):

  • Robotic Process Automation application

  • e-Business tools

  • ThermoFisher Local Applications

  • Performing IT support operations, including but not limited to receiving and tracking users’ requests, assigning priority and responsible persons, resolving requests and users’ notification

  • Working and coordinating with IT Business Analyst and Global IT teams and regional offshore support and development teams to review and resolve system issues in a timely and quick manner to minimize business impact and maintain system availability and reliability

  • Assisting in the investigation and resolution of issue relating to applications and with specified maintenance procedures

  • Ensuring compliance with IT and security policies, procedures, and strategies

  • Following IT processes and ITSM system, including incident, change, IT asset management and agile method

  • Documents system problems and resolutions for future reference

Operation Excellence

  • The monitoring, management and support of automated system components to ensure availability and capacity of applications and systems for operational hours

  • Enhancing the automation to create a simplified low-cost system operating platform

  • The provision of system availability, reliability, and capacity for ThermoFisher applications for availability within business operational hours

  • Assisting with collecting information including systems operation metrices to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed applications

  • Investigating problems in applications, processes, and services, with an understanding of the level of a problem and supplying to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years experience preferred

  • Good knowledge of basic systems administration tools and processes

  • Experience in Robotic Process Automation preferred

  • Strong client-facing and social skills and customer service orientation

  • Experience with creating knowledge base, how-to, training and orientation documents for users and other IT team members

  • Experience with ServiceNow monitoring, incidents and Change management

  • Advanced troubleshooting and muti-tasking skills

  • Basic knowledge of networks and expertise in Windows operating system

  • Native in Korean and Intermediate or above in English
