If you join our team within Prime Video you will be building the tooling that gives visibility to every stage of this process. Our team is called Content Control Centers. We build the internal and partner facing websites and backend tooling that allows them to see the status of millions of titles from the moment they arrive, right up until it they are ready to be seen by millions of customers. We are working on exciting projects that range from the web tooling that allows our users to action the catalog to intelligent automation of the publishing process. Working on our team will enable you to see how every part of the Prime Video Catalog works from the first time the latest blockbuster movie touches our catalog to making sure that it is available in countries around the world.

Successful candidates for this position will have a background in Java, C++, C#, Ruby or Python. Equally important to these specific skills is a candidate's ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to new development environments and changing business requirements, learn new systems, gain new skills, create reliable & maintainable code, and find creative, scalable solutions to difficult problems. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and orally, is a key competency as is demonstrable skill as a self-starter. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering consistently great digital media experiences to our customers, particularly those who want to grow within a world-class engineering team.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
