Robert Half Operations Specialist in Chicago, Illinois

Description

We are offering a unique opportunity for an Operations Specialist in the professional services industry, located in Chicago, Illinois. This role is set within a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and offers a contract employment opportunity. The Operations Specialist will be responsible for a range of duties related to facilities coordination and management. Note: this role does require a drug test and background check for consideration.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage facilities operations to ensure a smooth and efficient workplace

• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to address facilities-related needs and issues

• Implement and maintain facilities management processes and procedures

• Manage and resolve facilities-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workplace

• Monitor the condition of the facilities and arrange for routine maintenance or repairs as needed

• Assist in the planning and execution of office moves or reconfigurations

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure facilities needs are met to the highest standard

• Contribute to the development and implementation of cost-effective policies and procedures for all operational areas

• Act as a point of contact for any facilities-related emergencies or disruptions, coordinating responses and solutions effectively.

Requirements

• Proficient in facilities coordination and management OR experienced in catering and customer service

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational and planning abilities

• Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements

• Proactive and efficient problem-solving skills

• Experience in operations within the professional services industry

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations

• Proficient in the use of computer systems and software relevant to facilities management

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to handle emergency situations effectively and calmly

• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and work demands

• Relevant certification or qualification in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
